Getting out, dressing up, and seeing something interesting can refresh your outlook and experience of life. Our casual culture can use some occasional "sprucing." The simple act of dressing up in more stylish or formal threads can give your spirit a boost, because it signals something special about you.
We attended the "Fearless Fashion" exhibition of Rudi Gernreich at the Skirball. It was wonderful to see how so many of Gernreich's styles from the 60's and 70's are still fresh and vibrant. But the "show" wasn't just the exhibit. So many of the people who attended the exhibition and panel discussion were dressed to the 9's! It was a feast for the eyes, the imagination and the spirit!
